New You for a New Year
Posted on 2011-12-14 15:10:53
Prevent Drastic New Year’s Resolutions
with a Family Wellness Plan
People everywhere are beginning to think about making New Year's resolutions. Some are ambitious - lose 100 pounds, eat only nutritious foods, run a marathon - but they are not based in reality. Most resolutions fail because it is difficult to make wholesale changes or to quit anything “cold turkey.” As your family chiropractic care center, we recommend that you choose five things you can do to change just 1% per day to improve your family’s overall health.
Maybe you’ll start by reducing the amount of soda your family drinks, or perhaps you’ll agree to eat one piece of fruit a day. You could agree to take at least two walks per week or to engage in some type of physical activity. What matters is that you take positive actions together and support each other in the effort to achieve the reasonable goals you have set.
New You and Your Family Chiropractic Care Center
For some families, taking even these small steps to change 1% per day may prove difficult. But don’t worry, the team at Juszczyk Chiropractic is here to provide tips and tricks
to keep you on track. Dr. Paul is well-known in Lebanon, Cincinnati and the surrounding communities for his 21 day purification program and can provide you with ideas to get your family back on the path to a healthier lifestyle. He will be doing a talk in January on Lebanon wellness, and we’ll also be providing highlighted notes from his speech along with a YouTube video after the talk.
If you’re a patient of Juszczyk Chiropractic, you know that our approach to alternative medicine and holistic care can help you and your family achieve optimal health, functioning and vitality today and for the rest of your lives. If you’re not a patient, make a resolution to take advantage of our new patient offer and make 2012 a year of success!

Is a Herniated Disk Causing You Pain?
Posted on 2011-11-17 08:48:33
Explaining Herniated Disks
Millions of Americans suffer from chronic back and neck pain every year due to a herniated disk. A car accident injury, a sports injury, a slip and fall, or even natural wear and tear over time can cause a disk to slip out of alignment in the spine. When this occurs, patients may experience symptoms including pain in the back, legs, and buttocks, as well as muscle weakness, numbness or tingling.Lebanon Chronic Back Pain Treatment
Your spine is made up of individual bones (known as vertebra) and soft cushions between the bones (known as disks). When one of these disks slip out of alignment, they may compress nearby nerves, which can lead to pain. Unfortunately, traditional medical care focuses primarily on relieving pain, rather than treating the underlying cause. As long as the disc continues to compress the neighboring nerves, you will continue to experience pain. Here at Juszczyk Chiropractic, we use holistic care and chiropractic adjustments to restore alignment to the spine and relieve pressure on the nerves. Our chiropractor, Dr. Paul Juszczyk, has helped treat hundreds of Lebanon herniated disk patients – and he can help you, too. Gentle, hands-on chiropractic adjustments are a safe and effective treatment. Most importantly, by correcting the underlying cause for your pain, Dr. Juszczyk can help reduce the risk of future injury.
A misalignment of the spine caused by a herniated disk does more than just cause pain. When the musculoskeletal system is out of alignment, your entire body is at risk for injury, illness and fatigue. Think of your spine as an extension of your brain: the spine serves the critical function of delivering messages from your brain to the organs and muscles in your body. A misalignment means that the nervous system is unable to properly send and receive messages. This can cause problems for your digestive health, respiratory healthy and the health of your circulatory system.
A single herniated disk can profoundly affect your body’s health. This is why it is so critical to restore the disk to proper alignment, rather than just “cover up” back and neck pain with medication.

How Chiropractic Care Can Help Relieve Pain and Achieve Wellness

At Juszczyk Chiropractic, our family chiropractic practice helps patients with back pain, neck pain and much more. We believe in using holistic care and alternative medicine to reliev pain and improve wellness, but we do not use prescription medicine or surgery to achieve these results - our Lebanon chiropractor will help you to feel better in an all natural way!Back Pain and Neck Pain Relief
Chiropractic adjustments at our Cincinnati office are designed to return the spine back to its proper alignment. The spine can easily be pulled, jolted or pushed out of alignment during a car accident, any type of fall or even during the course of your regular daily activities. Our Lebanon Family Chiropractic Center
Our family chiropractic center is managed by Dr. Juszczyk, who uses a variety of gentle manual adjustment techniques to help return the spine to correct alignment. When the vertebrae in the spine are even slightly out of alignment, it can translate into intense pain or discomfort. A misaligned vertebrae can end up pinching nerves, especially the biggest nerve in the body, the sciatic nerve that goes down the back and leg. Once Dr. Jusczyk moves the vertebrae back into the proper position, the pain and pressure will be relieved. This means no more back aches, neck aches or headaches. Here at Juszczyk Chiropractic, we like to say that "When your spinal column is right, your whole body is right!" Proper chiropractic adjustments can have more benefits than just pain relief. The spine is connected to an intricate series of nerves that connect to all parts of the body, so spinal health is essential for the health of your whole body!

Neck Pain - Oh No My Neck is Hurting Me!
Posted on 2011-02-07 08:45:43
The most frequent
questions that are asked are:
Should I use heat or ice?
Should I take a
pain pill or anti-inflammatory?
When will it get better?
And the list goes
on and on. As a chiropractor, one of the
first questions I ask is when did you start to notice the neck pain and what initiated
the pain? Was it after a traumatic accident or occurrence or did you just wake
up with it because you slept wrong? I
will test for degenerative disc disease, rheumatoid arthritis or other degenerative/chronic
conditions. Most of the time, the neck pain after an accident comes from a
miscommunication of the nervous system which branches out into the neck muscles
causing spasms and pain. When left untreated
for a length of time, torticollis can occur which is very painful and limits range
of motion in the neck. The degenerative
spine and soft tissue adjacent to the trauma area has become inflamed and needs
to be addressed professionally so the pain does not get worse. Chiropractors are doctors who specialize in
the care of non-surgical conditions of the spine and nervous system. When the spinal nerves and spinal mechanics
are returned to normal function through spinal adjustments, the communication
is restored. The body then will be able
to heal and return to the proper state of health.
